COLDEX REU Career and Research Skills Curriculum

The COLDEX REU Career and Research Skills workshop series is given over 10 weeks during the summers to the undergraduate students participating in the COLDEX Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program. The workshops are offered weekly over Zoom for 60 - 90 minutes. Curriculum focuses on working with a research mentor, identifying scientific research questions, communicating science to diverse audiences, writing scientific abstracts, creating scientific posters and talks, applying to graduate school, and translating skills into jobs through career competency journaling.
