Activity: Graduate school self-reflecting and steps to find a potential advisor

Learning Objective: Students identify the reasons they might want to go to graduate school and use a set of steps to select a potential graduate school advisor (note: all activities geared towards graduate school in physical/Earth science).

These set of workshop activities are typically done before a “graduate school panel” with current graduate students. The panel allows undergraduate students to learn from their near-peers about what graduate school in science is like.
