The COLDEX Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program pairs undergraduate students with COLDEX researchers to work on COLDEX-related research every summer.

COLDEX scholarship funds are available for current Early Career Researchers (ECRs), defined here as students (undergraduate or graduate), post-baccalaureate researchers, or postdoctoral fellows. Scholarship funds toward research or broadening participation work related to the COLDEX mission are open to any ECR working in the United States.

The Oldest Ice Science Short Course is offered every year for graduate students, postdocs, and early career researchers. The curriculum is based on COLDEX research and changes yearly.

The COLDEX Leadership and Team Skills workshop is for graduate students, postdocs, and early career researchers such as early career faculty. The workshop focuses on team management, inclusive mentoring, and leadership skills development.

Project Ice is a yearly professional development course for K-12 teachers offered through the American Meteorological Society and COLDEX. The focus of the course is paleoclimate and ice core science.

The School of Ice workshop is for 2-year and 4-year faculty at Minority Serving Institutions. The workshop is offered yearly through the Ice Drilling Program and COLDEX with a focus on ice core and paleoclimate science.

The IARPC (Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee) Collaborations Mentorship Program places polar researchers across career stages in mentoring circles. In 2023 - 2024, COLDEX is one of the partners in this mentorship program.
